Our Story

Four Generations of Ranching. One Family. A New Generation of Tradition.

Paradise Valley, Montana — where generations of experience meet a new generation of young ranchers.

Valley View Mini Cows is a family-owned miniature cattle operation in Montana's beautiful Paradise Valley.

Julee's Ranching Roots

My wife, Julee, is a fourth-generation rancher whose family has raised Red Angus beef cattle in Paradise Valley for the past 50 years. Our family grows hay on the ranch, which we use to feed our livestock. Ranching isn't just what Julee does — it's who she is, woven into her family's identity across four generations of hard work and dedication to this land.

A Different Kind of Journey

My background is a little different. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and served in the United States Marine Corps. After coming to Montana, I married into a family with deep ranching roots and began learning the Montana way of life.

From working cattle and putting up hay to fixing fences and caring for livestock, ranching was a new experience for me. I've embraced the lifestyle, learned a tremendous amount, and loved every second of it.

The Beginning of Valley View Mini Cows

In 2024, we expanded our ranching adventure by purchasing our first miniature Highland cattle, including our original Golden Girls and Sal. Valley View Mini Cows was started as a business opportunity for our children, Cooper and McKenna, to learn about ranching, responsibility, entrepreneurship, and hard work.

Cooper & McKenna — The Next Generation

Our children are actively involved in the everyday operation. They help feed and water the cattle, spend time brushing and petting them, and enjoy getting to know each animal's personality. Our miniature cattle are raised as part of our family ranching operation, where generations of experience meet a new generation of young ranchers.

What This Means to Our Family

For Julee, this business continues her family's Montana ranching tradition. For me, it brings together the values I learned growing up in Detroit, serving in the Marine Corps, and embracing the Montana lifestyle. For Cooper and McKenna, it's the beginning of their own ranching and business adventure.

"We're not just raising miniature cattle. We're raising the next generation of ranchers."

What We Stand For

Every animal we raise reflects the values our family has built this operation on.

Family First

This operation was built for our children. Every decision we make is guided by what we want to teach Cooper and McKenna about hard work, responsibility, and caring for animals.

Montana Raised

Our cattle are raised on our family ranch in Paradise Valley, fed on hay we grow ourselves, and handled daily with care. They know the Montana landscape and the people who love them.

Genuine Connection

We believe in honest relationships with our buyers. We want every family who takes home one of our animals to feel supported, informed, and connected to the Valley View community.
